beast from the east snow outfit

Hey everybody! I know it’s been a while since my last post but I promise I'll start posting more constantly.

If you are living in Europe right now, you’ll know why I’m making a snow outfit post when it's supposed to be the start of the spring. The beast from the east is hitting Ireland and other countries very hard, where I live we have mountains of snow as high as 2 meters.
But of course if you are a real fashionista, the snow will never stop you from looking good and today I want to share my favourite outfit from this week.

I got the oversized checked coat in LOTD.com for only 30 euro with a discount code. I was afraid that the quality was going to be pretty bad because of the price, but actually, I was surprised and very happy with what I got. You can buy the coat by clicking here.

As I love layering and it’s very cold outside, I like wearing my leather biker jacket from Zara underneath with a high neck knitted jumper.

To finish the look I have my favourite black leather gloves, a knitted hat and my Dr Martens, which are perfect to walk in the snow.

HM CAMPAIGN FALL 2017

Hi there! I hope you had a great and productive Monday!
The question of the day is: Did you shop a lot on the Black Friday weekend?

I wasn’t going to get anything but I saw on Instagram that H&M had  -20% off everything on their website till midnight, so I decided to check the price of a jacket I wanted.

About 10:00 PM I went to their web page and everything seemed to be normal, I was in the Jackets and Coats section and I saw a faux fur leopard coat which originally was 99.99€ reduced to 40.99€, minus 20% off from Black Friday sale, so the final price of the coat ended up being 32.79€.

HM PRICE MISTAKE WEBSITE

I bought it without hesitating, that's cheaper than Primark.

I kept navigating through their web page because I wanted to see hats and that’s when I realized that they had a huge mistake on the prices. Almost everything appeared "reduced" to €40.99, even if the original price was €12 or €300.

HM PRICE MISTAKE WEBSITE

When I realized this mistake, it was 11:00 PM so I had one hour to get more good deals before the 20% off the Black Friday ended and maybe the error too.

I bought a pair of leather trousers from their premium collection for €32.79 from €219, and an oversized biker reduced to €32.79 from €69.99.

HM PRICE MISTAKE WEBSITE

At the end of the night, I paid 98.37€ for the leather trousers, the leopard coat and the oversized biker jacket, saving 289€!

HM PRICE MISTAKE WEBSITE

Couldn’t believe it. I actually tried to search if someone was talking about this on twitter or facebook but no one mentioned anything, so I Google it and found a blog post about a mistake they made on the page of the UK in 2016, but instead of having crazy discounts they overpriced everything up to £2099.

I woke up feeling bad because maybe someone lost their job, or maybe this was part of a marketing strategy to make people go crazy and buy stuff?

I guess I'll never know, but I'm happy with everything I got!

Hi there, I hope you are having a great week!

Today I’m back with a post about warm and cosy clothes because winter is around the corner and it’s time to get your wardrobe ready for the low temperatures. In my top picks for today, I’ll show you a couple of fashionable, cheap and chic knit sweaters to keep yourself warm and looking great without spending much money!

Bershka has one of the best collections this season. I love all their clothes, the quality is very good and the prices are affordable, so I’m going to start with this brand.

colour block knit sweater
Bershka 29.99€
I like this fringed sweater a lot because it will make you look super stylish without much effort and I find the design with the colour block very cool.

white cable knit sweater
Bershka 24.99€
This cable-knit sweater with lace-up details goes with everything, from a pair of jeans to a skirt and it could be yours for only 24.99€.

black knit jumper with pearls
Bershka 29.99€
And what about this black sweater with pearl beads? It's so classy and chic at the same time!

red cable knit sweater with straps
Bershka 19.99€

Red is the colour of the season and if you are a real fashionista, this cable knit sweater with straps is definitely a must-have and its only 19.99€!

multicoloured striped sweater
Zara 45.95€
This multicoloured striped sweater is from Zara and is sold out in some stores already, and I can't blame it, is something I'll like in my closet to stand out from the crowd.

grey colour block cable knit jumper
River Island 55€
River Island also has a lot of nice clothes this season but they are a little bit more expensive than other brands. Anyway, some of their pieces worth the extra euros; like this grey colour block cable knit jumper.

pink slouchy jumper with pearls
New Look 44.99€
Last but not least, this pink slouchy jumper with pearls from New Look, combined with a midi skirt and heeled ankle boots, you'll have an easy and trendy look.

If you follow the latest fashions trends, you already know that one of the colours of the season is burgundy. In shoes, bags and all kind of clothes, you must have something in this colour in winter. This textured coat with lapels is from Zara, it also comes in a bluish colour and you can find it for €79.95

My next choice is this olive green wool longline biker jacket from New Look. It also comes in black and costs €39.99.

This list wouldn't be complete without one of the most popular coats of the season; the Wales check longline coat that you can find in almost every shop, but in New Look I found the cheapest version for €49.99.

And again..., I have to repeat the oversized biker jacket style, but this time from H&M. I really love the leopard faux fur from the inside and if this print is a bit too much for you, you can find it fully black for €69.99.

Shoe trends fall 2017

Welcome to the AW17 shoe trend report of The CoolSpotter, in which I’ll show you the must-haves of this season, so you can pick your favourites and adapt them to your personal style.

Let's start with one of the most notorious and popular right now, which is the ankle boots trend that is not new at all but it continues to be the strongest. We see them in different styles, heights, materials, and colours. They are very comfy and go with almost everything, from jeans to skirts. My favourites are the Chelsea style and the ones with laces or elastic gores in the sides and chunky rubber soles.

The next trend is all about shine: Glitter footwear. It comes in many colours, lengths, and silhouettes, from the ultra-feminine princess pumps to the over the knee boots, flats, and Dr. Martens style.

Sock/Tights shoes. I must confess that I don’t like these shoes very much and I wouldn’t buy them, but I’ve seen how some fashionistas style them and they look pretty cool.

Johnstown Castle Ireland

In this, my first post in a long time, I would like to share a little of what has been my experience since I moved to Ireland.

I arrived six months ago to a town called Wexford, located on the south-east of the island, where 21,000 people live.
Before travelling, I did my research to know more about the country, and I found that all blogs talked about the same thing: the kindness of people, the love for beer and the weather.

And yes! They were right. The Irish are very friendly, they love to drink and their favourite subject is the weather. Of course, the summer is not like in Spain, with high temperatures, but is not bad at all and I really enjoyed it. Now that the autumn has arrived it is colder but with sunny days, and some rainy but in general, so far the weather has been similar to Bogotá, my native city.

In Wexford life is super different from what I was used to. I could walk everywhere, I never had to take a taxi or bus, there is no traffic jam and you live an absolute peace and tranquillity. The only problem is that days can become very monotonous because it is small and everything will always be the same, especially if you do not have a car to go to nearby towns.
I noticed that there are quite lot restaurants around, and they all are good, like really good. I guess they have to because of the competence, so there are a lot of options if you planning to go out for a nice meal.

Wexford Town
Obvious if you live in a bigger city, the experience is going to be different, but in general, Ireland is composed mostly of towns. The main cities are Dublin, Cork and Galway, where there is more diversity, more employment, tourism but it is also more complicated to rent a place to live and is more expensive.

Something important is that at the moment there is a worrying housing crisis. Prices are high, a lot of people is looking for a place to live and as there are not many, you see absurd cases were all the rooms of a house, including the living room and dining room are transformed and they put beds and lease them at very high prices, especially in Dublin. A two-bed house in Wexford is around 800 euro a month, while in Dublin the price will be around 1.800 euro, maybe a little bit cheaper the further you live from the city centre.

In the future I’ll be posting reviews of restaurants and other places especially in Dublin, so keep visiting and if you have any questions about anything just comment and I’ll reply as soon as I can.

Thanks for reading.
